Granja la Luna is located in Belmonte de Tajo, in the southeast corner of Madrid. It is a small, quiet and pleasant place surrounded by grapevines, olive groves and pine forests.
When programming your GPS, you should indicate Belmonte de Tajo as your destination and the Colmenar de Oreja highway as your route. At Colmenar de Oreja, you should turn left.
- The fastest way to get here is by taking the highway to Valencia known as National Highway III or A3. Turn off the highway at Km. 48, to Belmonte de Tajo when approaching Villarejo de Salvanés.
- Drive down the frontage road which passes by a Cepsa gas station. On reaching the rotunda, turn right.
- On arriving at Belmonte de Tajo, continue on the road toward Comenar de Oreja. As you move forward, on the left side of the road you will see the yellow wall of the Municipal Sports Center, beside which is a house and 20 meters beyond is the entrance to the Granja la Luna. Be sure to go slowly in order not to miss it. When you turn on to the road leading to Granja la Luna, you will see a sign with the name of our farm.
- If you take the R3 highway, you continue until you reach Km. 38 and then you turn on to A3 and drive till you reach Km. 48.
Starting out on the M30 highway of Madrid, on a normal day, the trip lasts approximately 35 minutes at a normal speed.

Detouring traffic jams: The M30 highway only registers traffic jams on 4 or 5 days out of the year. These are the days that the best route to Granja la Luna is the R3, which you will stay on until it ends and then go to Perales de Tajuña, and head on to Val de Laguna and afterwards to the southern part of Belmonte de Tajo. (This route is longer but it detours you around traffic jams).
Things worth seeing and doing in the vicinity: 5 minutes away from Granja la Luna is Colmenar de Oreja, famous for its olive oil and Madrid wine cellars. Equally nearby is Chinchon, famous for its lovely main square and restaurants (we recommend “las Cuevas del Vino” – The Wine Cellars). Surrounding Granja la Luna there are magnificent paths where you can walk your dog or go cycling.
